Every year, in my family tradition we usually spend our year-end holiday together. Actually, in the end of 2014, we had a plan to spent our holiday in Bali. But something had happened so we cancelled it. As a replacement, we had a plan to go Jogja (again).
At that time, i thought so hard to find a places that we never visit in Jogja. And i remember about one of pretty interesting area in Jogja. It's called Kaliurang.
You can find a lot of tourism object there. If you interest to have Lava Tour in Merapi Mount, just go to Kaliurang! If you wanna figure out another ambience of Jogja, just take your ride Kaliurang! And here I and my family spend our short holiday in some of Museums in Kaliurang Area. Here they are :
1. Ullen Sentalu Museum
Jl. Boyong Km 25, Kaliurang Barat, Sleman, Yogyakarta-Indonesia
Phone (0274) 895161
Website www.ullensentalu.com
If you are a javanesse art and tradition lover, perhaps this place will be 'heaven' for you. You must pay for IDR 30,000 for the entrance ticket. It is totally cheap for a very interesting museum! When you entered to the museum, a tourism-guide will accompany you until it last. It takes about 50 minutes to go around the museum. Unfortunately, the visitor is not allowed to take picture in some areas of the museum. Overall, this museum can be another destination when you go to Jogja city. It'll give you different experience after you enter this place :)
2. Merapi Mt. Museum
Jl. Kaliurang KM 22, Dusun Banteng, Hargobinangun, Pakem, Sleman, DIY-Indonesia
Phone (0274) 896498
It is totally different with what i reviewed above. Here you can learn more about geography. Especially about Mount Merapi. I forgot how much i must pay for entrance ticket here. But i think not more than IDR 50,000. Here some of my photos when i was there:
Those are of some places in Kaliurang Area. Actually, there are still much beauty and interesting place around Kaliurang. Maybe someday i will explore more around there. Amin! :)
Happy traveling!
